They say, it is free will. I say, Is it really? I say, it is quite the contrary and against my will. “Nobody would choose a life of pain and suffering.” They say, it is a transition back to eternity. I say, if it is true, then why not stay in eternity to begin with? They say, it is the law of the karmic cycle. I say, such a law can never be overcome. I am bound to return again, and again! They say, the purpose is to seek union with god. I say, was it not god who shattered me into so many fragments And scattered me across the endless spectrum of the karmic cycle against my will?
Today we talk about Sacred, introspections and contemplations, a book by Anisha Gilani published with our publishing house Europe Books.
Europe Books had the pleasure of interviewing the author Anisha Gilani to get to know her better and to discover all about her book Sacred, introspections and contemplations.
Below you can find our interview. Take a seat and enjoy your reading!!!
- What has led you to the writing of your book?
The writing in this book has been inspired from the contemplations I have done within myself. They are spiritually inspired because sometimes life brings us situations that we are unable to understand with logic. In fact, most of the times, when trials and tribulations come along, we are hardly prepared for it. It is always resisted because it goes against the logic of our minds. These situations in which there is a sudden loss of a loved one, either tragically or accidentally , or a suffering of a beautiful person who has been kind and gentle and yet has to endure multitude degree of pain, seems unfair and completely unprecedented. In these situations, one must go within and pose these questions. This is the reason, I have named it contemplations and introspections, and I call it Sacred, because, these reflections bind us within, as humanity in oneness so that we can endure the challenges posed by Life, and grow in wisdom that is within our hearts.
- What did you want to communicate with this book?
I wanted to keep my thoughts fluid, and poetry was the best way to do that. Sometimes, our logical mind begins to debate on what is written and very quickly jumps to categorize the writing by labelling it as “right” or “wrong”. But, when work is put in form of poetry, it touches hearts and bypasses the logical mind. My hope, is to have these words speak less to your mind and more to your heart. It is my hope, that we can find inspiration with the Divine with our hearts and then radiate this goodness through our Minds.
- What particularly significant experiences in your life find expression in your book?
I lost my father to cancer, and like everyone else, it was a very difficult time. I had grown up without my parents for the first ten years of my life, and finally when I got a chance to live a full life, I lost my father to a terminal illness. It was at this point, that I found a voice within myself to guide me and bear the loss that was to come. This book has been my friend, my companion and my guide as I continue to heal from the unbearable loss of my father. I hope it becomes yours too.
- How did it feel to see your book published?
Absolutely ecstatic! I was humbled, emotional and inspired at the same time. I felt that perhaps I can become a beacon of hope to all those people who are at a point in their lives, where they are searching for meaning and purpose. I hope that during this pandemic, this book can serve as an inspiration.
- Are you working on a new writing project?
Yes, I have written 3 more books, Sacred-Projections, Sacred-Desires, and Sacred-Bonds, all of which, I am hoping I can share with the readers soon!
