Provinces of the world
solitary places and experienced forgers of truth
lustfully beautiful
of sights of life’s abscesses full
here
people secretly follow the career of a lifer
others glorious and others anonymous
dazed embalmers of the dead dream
listening resentfully to the becoming of time.
On weekdays,
conspiring with survival already overnight,
each of them a foster of a rusted Ego
they neurotically try to get utilized
insusceptible to the view of paralyzed values
their purulent ranks through matins of saints they purify
in this mud
people conceal the corrosion deep,
beneath their polished skin
beloved couples,
bridegrooms into reduced perspective
dazzling in the gowns of thinking lovers
loveless
gazing at the embalmed love
dark coprophilous fungi the emotions,
they penetrate nefariously into alienated vulvas
and I,
with a dilated phallus as eye,
watch the spermatic flood-tides in the lower abdomens.
Today we talk about Blind to see the darkness, a book by Vasileios Vasileiadis, published with our publishing house Europe Books.
Europe Books had the pleasure of interviewing the author Vasileios Vasileiadis to get to know him better, what was the moment that led him to the writing of his book Blind to see the darkness, as well as what is the message he wants to convey with his book.
Below you can find our interview. Take a seat and enjoy your reading!!!
- Was the idea for this book born at a particular moment? What was that?
I create poetry after a long-time experience with the true life The creation of all my poetry books-these of my long poetry Trilogy (Blind to see the darkness, Point Zero, Fuck Off) -takes long time, usually over two years and the inspiration to create a long poetry book, is not connected with a particular moment, rather is a birth of my approaching and understanding of true life. My thinking become mature and one moment, start to create poetry I cannot create “office poetry” or “laboratory poetry” without have a live experience with true people’s life, with true people. I must load the words of my poetry with a crucial volume of live life experience, and after this I use the words, I see a huge difference between writing in excellent and perfect way (according the poetry writing rules) a poem and the creation of Poetry It happens, that a perfectly written Poem not to be Poetry, to be total empty from Poetry I take distance from such production of Poems. I prefer to create Poetry and not Poems. In addition, there is a huge difference between the Poem-writer and the Poet.
- What is the message you want to send out to your readers?
I try hard not to send messages to the readers of my long poetry books. I read the Terminus “Message” as a teaching Tool, and I do not want to teach people through my Poetry Rather I prefer my Poetry to put Questions marks to the readers, to motivate them to create their own thinking way, their own reactions, to take their own Life positions. My poetry creates questions, for sure do not teach, do not replace the teacher, and for sure us not included in the socialisation Tools of the people, Tools which use the systemic socialisation’s mechanisms and one of these Tools is the Teacher and the teaching in general. The family as a socialisation mechanism is teaching, the Schools is teaching, the Church is teaching, the Church mechanisms and the Priestess are teaching, the Norms are teaching So the Poetry is obliged to asking people, not teaching people through messages a la carte
- How did you choose the title of your book?
The title of the book is sarcastic., We see the Light but we are total blind, we refuse, to see the darkness of our life. The title was a proposal from Irina, my relationship, and I accepted her proposal. By this Title the book is registered in the English edition of Wikipedia, Part of longpoem/longpoetry.
- How was your publishing experience?
My publishing experience with my publisher Europa Books from the first moment till now is excellent and the serious point is that the Publisher is keeping its promises to the writer. I am thinking that Europe Books can be one of the most serious and big size publishers in Europe and USA.
- Are you planning to write more books?
I am planning to publish books which -the most of them – I have created enough or long time ago. I am planning to publish the third part of the long poetry Trilogy, “FUCK OFF”. In addition, my friends have taken the initiative to find and edit all my poetry creations from the first moment till today, and as the editors and correctors inform me, my whole work, which I have created all these years, are 11 poetry books/volumes. I hope that at the beginning of Summer, the 11 books will be in the hands of the book designers and after this point, do not know if this will happen, until the end of this year, the books will be published.
Europe Books thanks the author Vasileios Vasileiadis once again for taking the time and answering our questions. We are really pleased to have walked alongside him on the editorial path that led to the publication of his book Blind to see the darkness. We wish him the best of luck for his book and for his future works.
