I love him, I love him, and he is with me even within these four walls. Our sex, perhaps, was not a real one, but it was the best, the most passionate and the most genuine. If in the beginning I was shy to undress, after I enjoyed doing that for him, to dance for him. I felt that I belonged to him, he owned me, I completely submitted myself physically to him. Our sexual experiments were the best. We experienced the craziest emotions together. Our imagination was limitless, and it was so natural, our bodies were so in tune with each other. I closed my eyes and felt his every touch, every push, his heat, even his heartbeat. It was so real. He was inside me; we were a single body. When he first saw me completely naked, I remember him say: “Why have you entrusted your nudity to me?” I didn’t say anything, but there was one answer: “I love you, so I entrusted to you my nudity and much more than that. I entrusted myself completely, because I am yours now, only yours, your property”.
Today we talk about The Asylum, a book by ZoriS published with our publishing house Europe Books.
Europe Books had the pleasure of interviewing the author ZoriS, to get to know her better, where she found the inspiration to write her book The Asylum, as well as how she sees herself in the protagonist of her story.
Below you can find our interview. Take a seat and enjoy your reading!!!
- Where did you find the inspiration to write this story?
There was a thought in my mind – how would it feel to be killed by one’s beloved? Is there a difference between just dying and being killed by the person you love? After that, it occurred to me that almost all of us die while loving someone metaphorically. Because we are most vulnerable with the people we love and almost each first love kills a part of us and changes our personality.
- What message did you want to send out with your book?
There isn’t just one message. And I would like to leave this to my readers, I think each reader will find a different message in the story. Conveying a message through the book for me means to lose the interest to read it, so I will leave this for the readers. And I am very curious to read the reviews and get feedback from my readers on how they reacted to the story.
- How much of you is there in the protagonist of the novel?
I always put a piece of me in any character of the stories I write. No matter if it is a female or male character. And I think Frida lives in each of us, if not fully, at least partly. There won’t be a woman, who would not understand her or who had never had similar feelings. If no, then maybe Frida is locked inside of you and you just need to let her out and become strong, crazy, free and full of life, like her.
- How did it feel to see your book published?
I am very happy for that, and especially I am very glad for the fact that that it will be available for foreign readers. I hope the audience will love it and I will be looking forward to all of the reviews and comments, they mean a lot to me. And I hope I will have the opportunity to see the play staged in theatres or a movie based on my book, as this is my most cherished dream.
- Are you planning to write more books?
I am, because I can’t imagine myself without writing. I am already working on my new story. The title is ‘’First love ‘’ or ‘’Invented Love”. I have decided to give the story two titles and the readers will understand the reason when they read it. I don’t want to talk about this book in detail, I am fully absorbed in it and I can’t wait to see it published, too.
Europe Books thanks the author ZoriS once again for taking the time and answering our questions. We are really pleased to have walked alongside her on the editorial path that led to the publication of her book The Asylum. We wish her the best of luck for her future works.
To you, my dear reader, I hope that this book will capture your interest and your curiosity to the point of looking forward to reading the next chapter, day after day.
So, my dear reader, all I have to say is to enjoy this exciting reading!
