Today we talk about Homo, Fix or Nix, a book by Abdulmouti Souwed published with our publishing house Europe Books.
Europe Books had the pleasure of interviewing the author Abdulmouti Souwed to get to know him better, what prompted him to write his book Homo, Fix or Nix, as well as how his passion for writing started.
Below you can find our interview. Take a seat and enjoy your reading!!!
- What prompted you to writing of your book?
What urged me to think about writing the book was not to think of a single idea that would be limited to this book, but rather to think about imagining a writing project with a lot of details that might require more than one book. I worked hard to design a writing project and move from looking at the problems of the era to writing. Homo Fix or Nix. The essential problem of modern human still dominated by old logic I mean by the basis of either or, what does this mean? Fix or nix. The problem I discussed the phenomenon of extremism in human thinking (+ The problem of the dominance of human emotion as a basic of our logic in addition to different conditions and contexts and culture). The answer was in biological researches the extremism as a generic question born saddened by the spoon of extremism, and extremism is not a recent phenomenon historically, but rather dates back to the prehistoric Homo era, I discussed the widely spread idea of Sapience, and I concluded that the position of extremism is not destiny or genetic but can be overcome.
- What would you like to hear from your readers?
I feel pleasure when there is a large number of readers, and it also encourages me to continue writing while trying to develop my ideas and present something new I do not hide from anyone that at some point I feel sad and have. A dark moment when no one reads me, but I quickly get over this occasional feeling and continue my thinking by searching for new ideas for a new book. But at the same time, I do not feel sad if I do not get a large number of readers and followers. Rather, I nevertheless insist on continuing to write for a simple reason, which is that a person’s destiny is linked to writing, and this destiny of readers is not determined by a large or small number. My writings, in general, are related to trying to present some problems and the human situation, and my attempts in this presentation are not related to a center or a country, but rather they are related to humans, and this is what I learned from my studies of philosophy and my exposure to the humanities.”The more you read, the more you understand the human condition”. My friends, it is not important that you read me, but read.
- How did your passion for writing start?
Since I became aware of the value of life, my love for God, and the love of existence, it is necessary that I not only live (raw)(brut) life, but rather that I must exploit my life through knowledge by embodying what I see as the basis of my existence, by expressing in writing what I was and continue to live, by developing written attempts to implement the principles that I imagined to be useful. I remember when I was in my third year at university. I began to realize that, through academic study and my own reading, I had the ability to write in the local press what I thought the problems that were hindering the movement of intellectual progress. Here I meant reforming the prevailing mind, and I meant trying to be enlightened by the principles of the European Enlightenment, especially reforming the structure of the prevailing traditional mind about Psychologically, my emotions were rebellious and extremely critical of the society in which I existed. My discussions were constant and ongoing with the environment in which I lived during my childhood and youth about social and political problems. Everyone around me was warning me not to be reckless in expressing my free opinion. Passion However, I could not limit it. I remember that my first published article was entitled (Reason and Unity), and I meant unification and the unity of the Arab countries. The second attempt is an angry play that I wrote under the influence of translated Greek plays. Finally, an attempt to focus on the Islamic Sufi spirit and make the spirit replace it with (Kantian) (and Hegelian) reason.
- How did you choose the title of your book?
Reality is optional for the title, not in any intelligence or genius, especially since it suggests to any viewer of the title that the title directly conveys what it thinks of the content. I mean addressing a general problem that people live with at all stages of their daily thinking. Either this or that, either I or he, either us or them, and finally, either black or White It is an intense and categorical duality. This classic dualistic logic is the focus of the book, but the author does not stop at it, but rather discusses it according to the mechanism of critical thinking. But what is new in the topic? What is new is reservation in the face of scientific authority that imposes opinion and according to research that (justifies) the basic reality, especially on the negative side, I mean (biological justification) for the incident of extremism, which leads to submission and submission to fundamentalist-extremist thought, that is, in the philosophical sense, justifying the absurd scientifically. [The writer is not convinced of its rationality. Extremism and fundamentalist thinking. The position does not necessarily have to be religious, but rather a justification of the absurd, which is anti-civilization as a rational thought.
- Are you planning to write more books? can you tell us more about?
Writing is not a dream for me, but rather it was from the beginning a will and a design for a message, and I began to realize the will immediately after my return from Paris and the end of my academic studies. I started writing in my language and publishing a bunch of books. The second stage, i.e. achieving the will for a writing project, involves moving beyond the national language to English, as I saw that by writing, I would have communicated with a larger number of readers for my writing activity. I finished the first phase of my project plan by finishing four manuscripts (books) ready for publication 2021-2023. The first was “‘The Reason Under Fire “The West Civilization Didn’t fall”. The second is ” Homo Oppositus”‘. The third is ‘’Homo Fix or Nix”. The fourth is “‘ Are We our Emotions ”. Now I am following up on my writing plan on the following topics. The Revolution of our Times 21st the big false the next plan I am thinking about?
