Today we talk about The Mystic in A Wild State, a book by Garva Amarsaikhan published with our publishing house Europe Books.
Europe Books had the pleasure of interviewing the author Garva Amarsaikhan to get to know him better, What prompted him to the writing of his book The Mystic in A Wild State, as well as what he would suggest to a young artist you wants to write poetry.
Below you can find our interview. Take a seat and enjoy your reading!!!
- What prompted you to write a book of poetry?
Every artist is somewhat inspired by others or events that make them unconsciously as an artist. When I commenced writing, I did not know that my poetry collection would become a book, albeit secretly in the mind I believed in the development of my writing and what would become of it. For me, my mother had an everlasting influence on my poetry as she would with songs and poems that she composed to merely to wake me up from my unfettered dreams. That childhood story was rendered into one of the poems which I included in the book. Writing took all my emotions and mind and soul. It has become a part of me that reinvents itself and I understand myself deep down in words and forms. Poetry, from all forms of art, bring me consciousness of which I was not aware.
- What is the message you wanted to send out to you readers?
To be alive is to feel thoroughly and wildly. The book makes the readers to feel and sense modern time and its sensibility. In the book, you can see a country land and an evolving city, a dead son and songs of democracy, the art of life and its atrocious nature, a young artist and his dream-like life, wars and songs of soldiers, the riot of perfume and fragrance of memories, the saying of the dead, “Do not forget to have a happy soul, for after all, that’s what will remain of you,” and the mystic as we are.
- What does poetry mean to you?
If there is one thing that makes me a human being, then that is got to be art. Art is me. And me is art, in all forms and all shapes. Even as a little boy, I always dreamed of creating things that would essentially help me overcome my troubles and transform me mentally and physically. Poetry made me in the beginning and then I made poetry thereafter.
- What would you suggest to a young artist who wants to write a poetry book?
Do not try. Do it with love and all the senses.
- Are you working on a new writing project you can tell us about?
I cannot say now, but I have got an idea that needs to be constructed and developed thoroughly.
Europe Books thanks the author Garva Amarsaikhan once again for taking the time and answering our questions. We are really pleased to have walked alongside him on the editorial path that led to the publication of his book The Mystic in A Wild State. We wish him the best of luck for his book and for his future works.
To you, my dear reader, I hope that through reading this book you can feel alive and wild again, but above all, I quote the author, to make you reflect on the profound meaning of this sentence: “Don’t forget to have a happy soul, because after all, this is what will remain of you”!
So, my dear reader, all I have to say is to enjoy your reading!
