Yeah I’m smiling Even if within I’m dying
And every night over my entity rising
My eyes never stop crying
At two Am complaining
But when the moon starts fading
And my brain takes the leading
Emotions in my heart stop beating
And I keep trying
Minutes of the day are killing
My wishing
But I never lose my believing
Leave my warriors thought alone
To all my thoughts erase the roads as an unknown
And everyone, maybe something worries; step up
And it hurts doubly that no one will help.
I like silence. I am in a dream, no sleeping
I closed the doors – I won’t let anyone in, no passing
Give me a minute – no more!
Leave alone, you are my soul! Oh lord no sore
Silence is my oath in the back, Silence is my enemy in the gate
Thoughts are erased, it makes no sense to wait.
Maybe everything is serious, maybe not so! never bow
I am alone in silence, My thoughts are in darkness now
Shiver. As if in a cage well maybe jail cell
Lies, but want me believe it – Nah i will tell
Today we talk about A candle for snow, a book by Rida Sedrati published with our publishing house Europe Books.
Europe Books had the pleasure of interviewing the author Rida Sedrati to get to know him better, his passion for writing and how he chose the title of his book A candle for snow.
Below you can find our interview. Take a seat and enjoy your reading!!!
- What are the crucial themes of this novel?
This poetry collection combines mind and heart in conflict of honour and desire, as well principles, humanity, that became a syndrome, hit every soft heart. Well, those poems contain sensitive subjects about dark side of humans to their surviving or reaching tops in way of betrayal, murdering, torture, lying, deception under name of love, using power to their needs. Then, the situation of the world and humans across history and how this generation is under those past mistakes, systems and flaws, corruption, depravity, deviation.
- What do you want to communicate to readers with this work?
The importance of uniting and understanding others to become a one body.
- How did you choose the title of the book?
A Candle for snow: I imagined the brain as a candle that we all have but it doesn’t light up until we burn to come up with ideas that light and show what’s behind the curtains of dark; as I said before, we talk about darkness, we must ignite a candle, maybe we revile it and find gold behind it. Then, it comes the snow and cold which are corruption, all the evil and bad. Once we light up as a candle by our ideas and rationality we will feel the warmth, see the reality remove darkness and the snow shall melt the ground will bloom for us.
- Have you always had a passion for writing?
Writing has always been my passion. Since my childhood, I’ve been writing and enjoyed the way I use a pen as a weapon to face all my emotions, thoughts and ideas as I feel the paper is a war land between those. But until I became 16, I wanted to shear my voice and try to communicate with the world so I wrote my first collection, between 2016 until 2019 under name, Pulse letters, that I published in Algeria and my 2nd collection, A Candle for snow, in England 2020.
- Are you already working on a new writing project?
Yes, I’m editing a new collection.
